I know that i did the restart F7 step to disable driver signature enforcement and vjoy installed correctly. I followed the instructions perfectly but its not impossible i misunderstood a step. This will signify all is good, and you are now able to use your GC controller in dolphin, no extra configuration necessary. After following the steps I open the application and click start having my GCN plugged in and it says that it is not detected.
GAMECUBE USB ADAPTER DRIVER HYPERKIN NOT DETECTED INSTALL
Now just install it, when you go to dolphin and select controllers and configure port 1 (Should say gamecube adapter for wii u) it should say adapter detected. The Wii U adapter is not designed to be recognized by a PC. (Im not necessarily blaming this piece of the hardware, but its a possibility. The adapter requires external power through a provided microUSB cable. If you want to play with a GC Controller, use a USB controller or get the Mayflash version 2. After loving Hyperkins HDMI cable for the Nintendo Wii (which I use for GameCube games), I was curious enough to try this one out. That should make WUP-028 appear instead of Hyperkin. Specifically, those adapters are the official Nintendo GameCube adapters and the mayflash 4 port and mayflash 2 port adapter with a switch on the back. With the Hyperkin adapter, you would think it has to be set in PC mode, nope, put it in Wii U mode. Heres where the problem is for me, I dont have WUP-028 it shows just Hyperkin instead. Take it back, never sell a piece of trash to me like this. Buy a N64 controller with a USB already on the wire. Guides will say to use Zadig to change your driver, and when you connect your GC adapter (black usb not gray) you have to use the dropdown menu in Zadig and select WUP-028 and install the driver. I even unplugged the N64 Controller from the Hyperkin Adapter and pushed the button to configure the button layout and it still went hard left without the controller connected. Im mostly making this for myself, since whenever I take month long breaks between uses of dolphin, I always forget how tf I do this and have to search it up every time getting the same information that got me stuck the other times.īut if this is able to help someone else out with the same circumstances then hey why not?įirst of all, I have the gamecube controller adapter Hyperkin.
